Wormfarm Institute welcomes artist Peter Krsko, formerly of Washington DC and now relocated to Wonewoc, Wisconsin for the launch of its Test Plots series of exhibits, lectures, workshops and field trips throughout the 2017 Growing Season.
The opening reception for Krsko’s exhibit Zoethica: Bioinspired Art and Science, takes place Friday, April 7 from 6 to 9:00pm at Wormfarm’s Woolen Mill Gallery at 28 Main Street (2nd floor) in Reedsburg. The artist will be present to discuss work inspired by nature produced by students and collaborators during his tenure as Interdisciplinary Artist in Residence, at UW Madison’s Arts Institute.
Zoethica also includes art installations in Reedsburg’s City Park. Artists will be present to talk about their work on Saturday April 8 at 3PM. The gallery exhibit will remain on view from April 7-29, 2017, Tuesday through Thursday from 1:00 to 5:00pm, or by appointment.
The Test Plots series is an important part of the transition of the beloved Farm Art DTour to a biennial (every other year) and reflects Wormfarm’s mission to “ferment new projects ideas and collaborations that spread across the region and throughout the year,” said Wormfarm Executive Director Donna Neuwirth.
Test Plots is funded in part by grants from The National Endowment for the Arts, Sauk County Extension Arts and Culture Committee, and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the state of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
